There are 3 main ways you can help us out. We are raising money for the building, for the community center activities and for scholarships for the students at WEA.
Waymaker community center offers classes & speakers for people of all ages. We have guest speakers from book authors to college professors speaking about subjects that affect our every day lives.
Topics include personal finance, health, nutrition, history and current events. Examples include budgeting, financing a home, debt management, CPR, parenting in the age of social media, how to stay healthy in the post covid era, etc.
Your donation allows us to offer these classes for free to the general public. Thank you for your donation.
Waymaker Entrepreneurial Academy offers a 1 year program to help people in underserved communities learn how to set up and run a business.
The students learn the 5 pillars of business including accounting & finance, product development, operations, management, strategic planning and sales & marketing.
Every student that completes the program and has a solid business plan will receive a $5,000 grant to start their business. They finish the program with their business plan and website up & running.
